PORTUGAL SEASONAL WORK PERMIT 2026
If you wish to work in Portugal legally, you must first secure a Work Permit. This requires a valid work contract or job offer from a temporary work company or an employer established in Portuguese territory. The contract must include the job’s location, type of work, working hours, salary, and paid vacation, as well as the employment duration. The Portuguese Embassy in your country will issue you a Type E8 Visa, valid for up to 270 days.

DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR SEASONAL WORK VISA APPLICATION
- National Visa application filled and duly signed by the applicant;
- Passport valid for 3 months after the estimated return date.
- 2 color photo (35x45 mm) with white background.
- Criminal record certificate, issued by the competent authority of the country of the applicant’s nationality
- Valid travel insurance
- Copy of return transport ticket,
- Work contract or valid work offer for seasonal work purposes, with a temporary work company or an employer established in Portuguese territory
- Lease contract
- Proof of legal residence: if you hold a nationality different from the country where you are applying for the visa,
HOW TO APPLY FOR A PORTUGAL SEASONAL WORK PERMIT ONLINE?
Once we receive your required documents, the employer will review them. If needed, a Skype interview will be conducted. After payment, we will submit the documents to the appropriate authorities. The processing time for a Seasonal Work Permit is around 4-6 weeks. Once issued, we will send the original documents to you via courier. You can then apply for a visa at the Portuguese Embassy or VFS Global office in your country.
